Garden Inspiration - Arbors

Around here, brilliant flowering vines are beginning to climb on arbors toward the heavens. I found an old photo taken of me at the little gate arbor in our picket fence, when I was growing up.

Then I thought about all the amazing arbors I had seen here & there, like the classic Hampton Court arbor; the breathtaking sculptural metal arbor in Brisbane; and the seemingly endless rose arbors overhead at Claude Monet’s Giverny, which form a canopy over a much older me below.
